In our main gallery: “Exhibition 60+, Creative expression by artists 60 and over,” a salon-style exhibit with a fabulous opening reception on March 31.
Come at 5:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. when the Ray Walker Swing Band will play for the fashion show called "Aging with attitude, Style and Sass at 60+." This local project, conceived by photographer John Martin and style fashionista Elle Kilner, will put a spotlight on Sonoma County women, aged 61 to 81, who categorically refuse to be limited by trends of "appropriate dress for the mature woman." The catwalk will present older women who project self-confidence and individuality in a joyful riot of color, pattern and texture.
Afterward the fashion show, stay for the gala artist reception for the salon-style art show, featuring dozens of works from local artists over 60. (This exhibit runs from March 31 - April 16.) This event will also be the opening reception for two concurrent exhibitions: In Gallery II, Peter Krohn, "From Grief to Gratitude: Peter Krohn's Personal Journey" and in Gallery III "One Thing Leads to Another" Paintings and Sculptures by Lisa Beerntsen who both exhibit from March 31 to May 7
