GAMBIER — The Gund Commons at Kenyon College was abuzz Saturday afternoon as the Soroptimist International of Mount Vernon and Knox County presented the “Step Into Spring” 2017 Fashion Show and Luncheon.
Along the windowed-walls of the Commons, dozens of local vendors set up shop selling items such as clothing, jewelry, decor, and toiletries. From 11:30 a.m. to noon, women of all ages browsed, shopped and chatted with one another.
Stephanie Ruhl of Richland County is no stranger to the Soroptimist Spring Fashion Shows. In previous years, she enjoyed modeling clothing on the catwalk. However, Saturday was the first time she attended the show while representing Young Living Essential Oils’ booth.
With her display of assorted oils and a diffuser misting peppermint vapor, Ruhl explained her passion for essential oils and how, in addition to smelling amazing, they can benefit one’s health.
