• TOWIE's Gemma Collins regains her style queen status in muted maxi dress following garish fashion faux pas as she leads the stars at Valerian European premiere in London

She was left red-faced after her garish ensemble at the ITV summer party was ripped to shreds by the fashion police and social media alike.

And now claiming her style queen status back, fashion designer and reality star Gemma Collins slipped into a more muted look as she walked the red carpet for the European premiere of Valerian And The City Of A Thousand Planets in London on Monday night.

The TOWIE favourite, 36, sizzled in her plunging nude kaftan-inspired look that featured demure sequin detailing down the neckline and a sexy split extending the length of her legs.

The blonde beauty's seventies inspired look skimmed her womanly curves as she worked the blue carpet with aplomb in her metallic heels, which boosted her already staggering heels.

Adding to the muted glamour was her chic gold clutch bag to complement her staggering heels - all of which combined to make the most of the red carpet glam.

Her blonde locks were styled into bouncy waves, coiffed no doubt by a glam session at the hairdressers. Her make-up was applied to perfection with a smudged smokey eye and glossy lips.

While Gemma certainly hit the fashion nail on the head on Monday, things were wholly less glam as she stepped out in a bright orange dress with alarming shoulder pads - all of which were met with a mirthless response.

Her darling display comes after film star Cara Delevingne shrugged off the disappointing opening weekend as she donned a stylish tweed suit for the film's London photocall at the Langham Hotel on Monday.

Flying the British flag now she is back on home turf, the supermodel turned film starlet, 24, looked dapper in the classic silver suit which featured an oversize three quarter length jacket adorned with black stripes.

The Vogue coverstar flashed a hint of cleavage with a matching low-cut vest while the suit's trousers accentuated her slender, endless legs. Adding height to her already statuesque frame, the star toughened up her look with patent leather stiletto boots.

She playfully kicked her leg up into the air as she posed up for waiting snappers,  At one point she embraced her co-star Dane DeHaan, 31 who plays her love interest in the film, with Dane looking stylish in a monochrome suit.

Keeping the focus on her feline eyes, the star added flicks of liquid liner, gold shadow and liner, which she paired with a berry lip. Her platinum crop was styled into a sleek side part.

Despite the happy display the science fiction epic is already being labelled a 'box office bomb' after it placed fifth in the box office chart with takings of just over $17 million against a staggering $180m budget.

In contrast Christopher Nolan's Dunkirk took in a mammoth $50.5m.

Valerian director Luc Besson had previously told the Wall Street Journal the film needed to gross at least $350m to warrant a sequel, a figure which looks unlikely after the dismal opening weekend.

However there is a silver lining for Cara as she was lauded as a 'great actress' by Business Insider.

The cover girl plays the character Sergeant Laureline in Valerian. Cara stars alongside Dane , Clive Owen and Rihanna.
